Course aims & objectives
Airport Supplies for Screeners - This course is designed for persons implementing security controls and screening of airport supplies.
Course Aims and Objectives:
To ensure that all trained staff understand their role and responsibilities in relation to the security of airport supplies.
To provide persons who screen airport supplies with the knowledge and skills needed to deliver the effective screening of airport supplies.
To provide persons working for known suppliers who have access to airport supplies with the knowledge and skills needed to provide effective security in accordance with the relevant legislation.

Provision of this training is mandatory for any person employed to carry out, or supervising / managing staff carrying out, any of the activities listed below:

Implementing security controls for airport supplies

Practical - Demonstration and learner practice with coaching

Assessment methods:
Assessment under this syllabus must comply with the Airport Supplies Syllabus
This will include:
Question and answer recap session (at the end of each module)
Recap session (at the end of each day)
Written assessment with Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)
Practical assessments
Persons operating x-ray equipment must pass, and repass at intervals of at least 13 months, the National X-ray Competency Test (NXCT). The results of such testing must be provided to the trainee.
